The Eurostat dataset displays the train traffic performance (unit: thousand train-kilometres) by train category, vehicle type and source of energy differentiated by countries for the years 2013-2023. The different vehicle types are: locomotive, railcar, total. The types of trains are classified as: total, goods trains, passenger trains, other trains. The fuel types are differentiated as: total, diesel, electricity. The data is available for the following countries: Belgium, Bulgaria, Czechia, Denmark, Germany, Estonia, Ireland, Greece, Spain, France, Croatia, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Austria, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Slovakia, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Moldova, North Macedonia, Georgia, Albania, Serbia, Türkiye, Ukraine, Kosovo. The dataset is updated annually.
