Overview Text

The data was collected as part of the study "Apoyo Mecanismo Técnico para el Diseño de un de Financiamiento para Electromovilidad en Chile – Taxis y Colectivos", developed in the framework of the Moving Chile project for the Ministry of Energy by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ). The objectives of the study are the financial and socio-economic evaluation of the introduction of electromobility in the light public transport system and the development of financing mechanisms to promote this introduction.The dataset focuses on the environmental costs caused by taxis in Chile. Environmental costs refer to all damages caused by environmental nuisances, such as health costs, noise, material damage, damage to the biosphere and long-term risks. The costs are indicated in thousands of CLP for the national average as well as the following cities: Arica, Iquique, Antofagasta, Copiapó, Coquimbo, Valparaíso, Santiago, Rancagua, Talca, Cllán, Concepción, Temuco, Valdivia, Puerto Montt, Coyhaique, Punta Arenas.
